Business blog marketing is very different than personal blogging. Business blogging is focused and it is done with a purpose. Business blog marketing is a powerful method to improve your website search engine rankings. This can also bring your website targeted visitor traffic.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) involves anything that improves the rankings of your website in popular search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing. You can optimize your business blog to bring in more traffic to it. This is quite easy to do by using targeted keywords in your blog titles, categories and in the first paragraph of your blog post.
Even more powerful, is using your business blog to raise the search engine rankings of your website. You can have you blog listed on a subdomain of your website domain such as http://blog.yourwebsite.com or on a dedicated domain by itself. With both ways there’s benefits.
Business blogging involves the writing of keyword rich content that is compelling and unique. Keywords are still used in the blog titles and categories. The additional step you can do is to use hyperlinked text in your blog post that links to the most relevant page on your website. This way you are increasing the “backlinks” to your website and this is still considered one of the most important factors when search engines ranks your website. This method can give you SEO results fast.
Blog links
How many links must you include in your blog posts? 2-5 would be a pretty typical number of links. Be sure to include the occasional links to high PR authority websites such as Wikipedia. This can speed up the crawling of your blog posts by the search engines.
On business blogs you will usually find a large number of postings focused on a particular subject. The page code (HTML) is often clean and text rich. They are usually written in a simple, easy to spider format making them an excellent natural SEO tool.
